Packages



Settings > Specials & Packages


A Special is a discounted rate.  A Package is items bundled together. For examples of the difference between a Special and a Package, please view the videos above.

  • To create a Special or Package

    • Step 1: Information

      • Click New.

      • Give the special/package a name.

      • In the Extra Cost/Benefit field, insert a short tagline for the guest to see if this special/package is available online (such as “3rd night free!”).*See image below.

      • List order is the order in which it will show up if there are multiple specials/packages listed on the booking engine.

      • Fill in the Description. If this special/package is listed online, this information will display for the guest.

      • Fill in the Requirements. The requirements will display on the booking engine if the guest attempts to book the special/package and has not met the requirements.

      • Select which Options apply to this special/package.

        • Select whether this special/package is available online. Below that, you can specify if you want this special/package to appear on specific tabs on the booking engine.

        • Select whether to display this special/package within the Rooms/Units list on the booking engine.

        • Select whether this package must be ordered by phone. If this special/package is available online, but the box is checked that it must be ordered by phone, the special/package will display as “Call Us” on the booking engine.

        • Select whether to display the special/package even in its off-season. If this box is checked, guests can book the special/package in advance. If it is not checked, the special/package will only display within the dates set (dates are configured in Step 3).

      • Save.

    • Step 2: Rules

      • Add Requirement. A requirement is what the guest has to do in order to receive this special/package.

        • Select the bubble next to which Requirement type this is (such as reserving x nights in any room OR entering a promo code).

        • Fill in the rest of the information within the line you have selected. (Select how many nights the guest must book and in which rooms OR select how many retail items the guest must purchase OR create a promo code here, etc.)

        • Save.

        • You can add more than one requirement per special/package.

      • Add Reward. A Reward is what the guest receives by getting this special/package.

        • Select the bubble next to which Reward type this is (such as receiving x nights in any room OR receiving a retail item).

        • Fill in the rest of the information within the line you have selected. (Select how many nights the guest receives OR select what retail item the guest will receive, etc.)

        • Select the bubble next to the reward amount (percentage, dollar amount, or fixed price). 

        • Fill in the information within the line for award amount (such as 15% off). This will assign this reward amount to the reward item selected above (such as 15% off 1 night in All Rooms).

        • Select whether to reward starting with the lowest priced or highest priced first.

        • Save.

        • You can add more than one reward per special/package.

    • Step 3: Dates

      • Select start and end dates for this special/package. Click Add.

      • Select on which days of the week this special/package can be used.

      • If guests are allowed to book this special/package in advance of the dates it can be applied, check the box on the Information tab that says “Display this package even in its off-season.”

      • Save.

    • Step 4: Picture

      • Click Choose File. Upload an image. This is optional, but recommended if this special/package will display online.

      • Save.

  • To remove a special/package

    • Click Remove.

    • Check the box to permanently remove this special/package.

    • Save.
