Settings > Minimum Nights

  • Default minimum night stay: The default has to be the lowest minimum that you allow.  Most properties will therefore want the default set at 1. If your default minimum is anything higher than 1, guests will not be able to book single-night stay. If you want to allow single-night stays at any point of the year, it is best to keep your default at 1.

  • Repeating Minimum: Create a repeating minimum if you have a minimum night that repeats on the same dates of every year.

    • Click Add Repeating.

    • Give the minimum night setting a name (for your reference; the guest does not see this).

    • Select the dates using the drop-down menus.

    • Set the minimum night.

    • Select which units the minimum night applies to. You can limit the minimum night to only apply to specific units or classes, or apply the minimum night to all units.

    • Save.

  • One-Time Minimum: Create a one-time minimum if you have a minimum night that does not repeat on the same dates of every year.

    • Click Add One-Time.

    • Name the minimum night.

    • Set the start and end dates.

    • Set the minimum night.

    • Select which units the minimum night applies to.

    • Under Advanced Options, check the box if you want the minimum night requirement to automatically drop a set number of days before its start date (for example, if you require a 3-night minimum, but if the unit has still not been booked one week before, you can set the minimum night to drop 7 days before, which will allow for 1- or 2-night bookings).

  • To create a minimum night that repeats on the same day(s) of the week for a certain time throughout the year (such as a weekend minimum throughout summer):

    • Click Add One-Time.

    • Name the minimum (such as "weekend minimum").

    • Set the Start and End dates to be the dates of the FIRST weekend this applies to. (For example, a weekend minimum for all weekends between Apr 1-Oct 31, 2018 would have Start date 04/06/2018 and End date 04/07/2018.)

    • Set the minimum nights.

    • Select which units the minimum applies to.

    • Under Advanced Options, check the box for "Create more minimums like this one". Set the number in the box to 7 (every 7 days into the future). Set the date to be the LAST weekend this applies to (in our example, that would be 10/27/2018). This will duplicate this minimum night every week on the same days.

    • Click Create.

  • Minimum Night Options

    • Check the boxes next to the relevant options.

    • Pay particular attention to the last two settings that indicate what will happen if there is only partial availability and there is a minimum night in place.

      • Vacancy holes: There are options to either have the guests call about the room (the booking engine will show “Call us” instead of “Book”) or to allow booking, but you can restrict these bookings using the drop-down menu.

      • Partial availability: There are options to mark these rooms as “Occupied”, “Call Us”, or to prompt the guest to book fewer nights.
