Settings > Taxes
To add a new tax, click Add.
Enter the tax percentage.
Give the tax a name.
Select a start and end date.
Select a tax type.
On the Details page, select which items the tax applies to.
To remove an existing tax:
Click the checkbox next to the tax name.
Click Remove Tax.
To change an existing tax:
Click the name of the tax.
Make changes to the name, tax percentage, start and end date, and the tax type.
Save.*Note: If the tax percentage is going to change for future reservations or purchases, but not for past reservations or purchases, do not change the percentage of the tax. Instead, change the end date of the tax to be the last effective date in the old percentage. Then add a new tax with the new percentage and set the effective start date to be the day after the ending effective date of the old tax. Changing the percentage of the tax will update all reservations that previously had that tax assigned.
If a new tax is created and there are reservations that need to include the new tax, update the reservations by selecting a date in the “From” field.
Check the box to approve the update.
Click Update Reservations.
